This is a very rare and very significant piece of vintage Murano glass, perhaps the only one in existence in these colors and perhaps one of only a handful in this technique. A similar lion is published in the Murano Bestiary book by Marina Barovier as produced by Flavio Poli, but the one pictured does not have the contrasting glass colors that make this one more appealing in my opinion.
